Formatting is the single most overlooked area by independent authors. The way in which you describe scenes, display dialogue, and shift point of view can make or break your story. In addition, excessive grammatical errors and typos can give your book an amateurish feel and even put off readers completely.
Marketability: 5
Marketability refers to how effectively you wrote your book for your target audience. Authors may include content that is above or below the understanding of their target reader, or include concepts, opinions or language that can accidentally confuse or alienate some readers. Although by its nature this rating is very subjective, a very low rating here and poor reviews may indicate an issue with your book in this area.

In Phone Life by Paris Gamble, we get to know about the journey of a simple boy from middle school to a successful software engineer. David is not unlike every other middle school student. He has no idea what he is going to do and what he is going to become. But he does know that he loves to fiddle with phones and just about every other handheld device. With his interest invested in computers and their mechanics, he has no time for school and studies in his life. That is why he is tutored by Carlie. His interest and endless support from Carlie, his girlfriend, and his best friend, Lee, means he later becomes a successful software engineer.
Phone Life is a nice inspirational novel that allows you to broaden your mind and open your perspectives to new fields. I love to use new software, but I find software engineering extremely boring. After this novel, I have come to appreciate software engineers more. David’s determination and his utter devotion to his field of interest is inspiring and very encouraging. Paris Gamble showed David’s frustration with the world perfectly and in a very real manner. His fixation with computers and phones was understandable, and that is the biggest goal to achieve. Every situation was eloquently written, the dialogues were revealing, and the characters well developed. It is indeed a great novel, especially for people who need inspiration for their future. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
